The minor in CITE requires 18 hours of CITE and COSC courses, including COSC 10403 (Introduction to Programming); COSC 20203 (Techniques in Programming); CITE 30103 (Unix/Linux System Administration), CITE 30133 (Adv System & Network Administration); and 6 hours from COSC 20803 (Data Structures) and CITE or COSC courses at the 30000 level or above. CITE 40450 Computing Internship Course

Catalog Description
  • Prerequisites: Junior standing, 2.5 GPA in major, and approval of department chair.
  • Practical experience in computer and information science. Must include a minimum of 90 work hours for each credit hour in approved practical experience situation. This course may only be taken pass/no credit and may be repeated for a total of at most 3 credit hours.
  • Open to CITE and COSC majors only.
  • This course will NOT count as a Computer Science elective.

  • A range of 39-63 hours is required to satisfy the TCU Core.
  • Total Credits and Residence Requirements
    • Successfully complete at least 124 semester hours of credit;
    • Successfully complete at TCU at least 42 of the total hours required for graduation in advanced courses numbered 30000 or above;
    • Successfully complete at TCU at least 12 semester hours of advanced work in the field of the major and at least six semester hours of advanced work in the field of the minor.
